Project Report #6 - An Engine's Journey

Good morning Sponsors~! It’s quite a lazy Thursday morning for me because I had abit of difficulty getting out of bed, Haha~! I’ve been running around everywhere, meetings after meetings, to settle a mountain load of stuffs. Praise God I didn’t fall sick although I had to push my body to the limit lately. Had abit of the flu bug but its gone already after much prayer…

I was driving to work just now and a thought just ran through my mind, the thought goes like this… “Why is the world so banked on fear?”… Just have a good look around you, everything you have, the chair you’re sitting on, the building you’re in now, the car you drive. Did you know that all these things were built based more on distrust than trust? Why do I say that? Simple, it’s because almost all the things you have were built based on contracts.

Did you know that contracts are made because of distrust? Let me explain, a legal contract is require to PROTECT the interest of every party is any sort of agreement. Why do we need protection if we can trust each other? The fact is that this world is deceitful place, where evil men with the evil contents in their hearts choose to contribute to the destruction of man’s trust with each other. In other words, contracts are created based on the FEAR. The fear of being cheated, the fear of being taken advantage of, the fear of disbelief, the fear of FAILURE… Do you get the picture now?

Why am I bringing this topic up? Well, I just want you to realize that despite everything that’s going on around you, despite all the fears and dishonestly that’s happening, despite all the evil, there is still ONE hope. Did you know that God has never and will never make a contract with anyone? Although we as humans tend to always fail him and cheat Him by promising Him a whole load of stuff but yet not fulfill our word, He has never once blessed us based on any contract, means His love is just unconditional.. God’s type of agreement is called a COVENANT..

What’s the difference between CONTRACT and COVENANT? The answer is very simple… Contracts are made based on fear, this I’ve explained earlier, but a COVENANT is made based on LOVE. That’s the MAJOR difference~! Contracts can be made between total strangers, people who don’t know one another, people who fear one another… But a covenant can only be made between people who share a strong bond with each other, trust each other, rely on each other, find security in each other… In other words, a covenant is made based on friendship and LOVE…

Do you know that marriage is a covenant? Because of our fallen world, the beauty of marriages is blemished thus comes the invention of the marriage contract, where both parties bank their security on a piece of paper rather than each other… How sad have we become? Thank God for giving us hope again because He desires to have a covenant with us. Can you imagine, based on all that I’ve said about a covenant, that God himself, the creator all the universe, wants to have a covenant with us??

If covenants are only shared between friends who love each other, so what does it mean when God wants to make a covenant with us? It means that God is calling us His friend~! I would be so proud if I knew the President of the United States in person, how much more would it be if I knew the President of the Universe? Cool right? But how do we make a covenant with God? Very simple, all we have to do is just ask Jesus to come into you heart and ask Him to take control of everything that’s going on in your life. Believe me, He will never fail you…

A covenant in the old days was sealed by blood, where 2 people will cut a small opening in their hand and rub it on each other’s opening. Thank God we don’t have to cut ourselves to make a covenant with Him because Jesus has already shed His blood to build the covenant between us and God… His blood was not only shed for the forgiveness of our sins and the healing of our bodies, the MAIN purpose was to restore the broken covenant between man and God…

Because God himself made the covenant, He put Himself in a position where He MUST bless us… Why must He? Because it is His nature to see everyone of us live under this blessing, to see everyone of us run after His heart…

One very cun thing about this covenant is that God will never break it, but the sad part is we ourselves can break it because of our sinful nature. Don’t worry people, because of God’s abundant grace, He always picks us up when we fall, He always mends the covenant broken by our evil actions because He loves us more than anything else in the world... Hope this brings new light to all of you about Christianity, that’s it’s not about a bunch of ‘holy’ rules or a one-way-ticket to heaven, but it’s about a relationship with God…

The engine is already in Malaysia people, but it’s not in the state yet. I have no idea where it is now. My foreman was too busy to give me the full details of the whereabouts of the engine. No worries, I know him well enough to trust him that he will do his very best to find the best condition engine with the best price. It’s gonna come soon~! If you’re in suspense, I lagi suspense la… Pray that the engine will come speedily and the installation will have no hiccups because I hope to finish doing up the entire car, plus interiors, by mid February if possible. Then all you sponsors can finally sign in the machine you placed your hands in to build~! This machine will have all your fingerprints all over it~! Haha~!

Someone’s 22nd birthday is tomorrow people~! And she’s among the sponsors as well.. This girl is a Chili Padi, small but super ganas if you get on her bad side. I don’t know why I mix so much with ganas girls, Haha~! She is currently walking with the sheeps all the way in the land down under, still can’t guess who she is? Attention please, may I have you attention please, will the real CHONG RHU JAN a.k.a. Jan please stand up~!! *applause* *applause*

Announcement people, if you didn’t know, Jan is also the elder sister I never had, although she’s only older than me a couple of weeks. Haha~! But throughout all the years I’ve known her, she’s always been such a good friend to me. We first met all the way back in form 1, we were in the same class. At that time, she wasn’t as good looking as she is now la.. I remember the thick THICK glasses she wore and the typical little girl ‘pony tail’ hair style she had. Her uniform at that time always looked too big for her, she looked like she was swimming in it. Haha~!

I was known to her then as ‘Stapler Boy’ because the only reason I ever talked to her was when I needed to lend her stapler. It’s amazing how we grew so close today when our friendship started off with my need for a stapler. Through the years in high school, I was usually the culprit who set guys up to kau her. But that wasn’t a very wise thing for me to have done, my mistake… I’m sorry Jan~!

Though all these years, we’ve been through a lot together. Many times we would talk through a lot of stuff and we would encourage each other when either one of us were facing a situation. After school, a big group of us would normally wait together for her mother to come pick her. I remember the days where we would purposely come out of class earlier and gave excuse to do duty before the last school bell rang so that we can lepak in the Interact Garden and chat nonsense… We were all prefects by the way… What an example~! Our uniforms were green in colour and we wore taylor made TIGHT pants and and skirts... super sexy right? Haha~!

I have been through a fair share of heartbreaks during my young and dumb days but she was always there to call me and checkup on me to see if I’m alright. Me with my macho-ness always make it seem that everything’s fine, but she cared enough to talk things through with me… Although she can be so ganas and all, she has a very good heart behind it all. After form 5, we had to say goodbye to each other because her family was moving to New Zealand. I remember how she looked with tears in her eyes just before she left… I felt heavy inside to see her go because we were very close… But I’m glad today she’s doing very well over there…

To Rhu Jan… Thank you for all the time spent together, your efforts to make sure that I’m alright and doing well really built me up inside during our high-school days. No matter what happens around you, even with tears flowing down your cheek, you’d always try to put on a smile for me everytime. It’s been a great journey of friendship that still remains so strong even though you’re so far away physically now…

Every one of your friends in Malaysia, I included, really miss you and really look forward to see you again sometime end of this year. Continue to work hard to pursue the dreams that are placed in your heart. Don’t be stranger to contact me once in awhile and update me about what’s going on in your life. I’ll pray with you about your apartment search for the new semester, don’t stress ya? Take care of yourself in the land of the sheep, make sure you don’t grow too fat with the abundance of dairy products there. Thank you for being a sponsor of this project, but most of all, thank you for being a sponsor of my life because you have contributed to make me who I am today…

This report entry is abit too long, I better stop here. Haha~! Sponsors, please place you votes on the polls~! Will keep you all updated on the engine really soon. Have a great day ahead~! God Bless~!
